Group stake expanded via private vehicle Epoche

80,000 additional shares of HLB Therapeutics acquired ahead of November Phase 3 trial results

HLB Group Chairman Jin Yang-gon has purchased shares in group affiliates 15 times through his private investment vehicle over the span of less than a month. The move signals a concerted effort to increase his stake in key subsidiaries as HLB Therapeutics (115450) prepares to unveil the results of its new drug clinical trials.

According to the HLB Group on the 21st, Epoche, a financial investment firm in which Chairman Jin holds a 99% stake, acquired a total of 80,000 shares of HLB Therapeutics in two separate open-market transactions on the 15th and 20th. As a result, Epoche’s holdings in HLB Therapeutics increased from 172,272 shares to 252,272 shares.

Epoche previously purchased 218,718 shares of HLB Innovation and 130,584 shares of HLB Therapeutics between October 23 and November 1. This was followed by the acquisition of 207,897 shares of HLB Genex across six separate transactions from November 6 to 14.

Chairman Jin has previously made steady, direct purchases of shares in major affiliates including HLB Innovation, HLB Panjin, HLB Therapeutics, HLB Genex, HLB Biostep, and HLB Pep. Recently, he has expanded these efforts by securing stakes through his private corporate entity.

Notably, HLB Therapeutics, which saw the latest round of additional share purchases, is scheduled to release the top-line results of its U.S. Phase 3 clinical trial (SEER-2) for the neurotrophic keratitis (NK) treatment candidate 'RGN-259' in November. This clinical trial represents a critical milestone in validating the therapeutic potential of RGN-259, with the results expected to shape future regulatory approval and commercialization timelines.

An official from the HLB Group stated, "Based on his strong conviction in the growth potential and future value of the key affiliates, Chairman Jin has consistently continued to acquire shares through both personal and corporate channels. We remain committed to supporting the long-term growth of our affiliates while reinforcing responsible management and enhancing shareholder value."
