Biotop cumulative sales jump 31%; Q3 operating profit hits 1.3 billion won; Batoclimab secures Chinese marketing authorization, with core pipeline clinical results slated for sequential release.
HanAll BioPharma (009420) announced on October 28 that its cumulative revenue for the first three quarters of the year reached 124.2 billion won. While third-quarter revenue dipped 2.2% year-on-year, operating profit surged 265.1% over the same period.
For the third quarter on a consolidated basis, HanAll BioPharma reported revenue of 39.9 billion won, an operating profit of 1.3 billion won, and a net profit of 3.1 billion won. Net profit skyrocketed 924.2% compared to the same period last year. Over the same timeframe, research and development expenses were cut by 53.7%, dropping from 4.8 billion won to 2.2 billion won.
In the pharmaceutical business, the probiotic product "Biotop" broke its quarterly sales record. Third-quarter sales for Biotop came to 7.6 billion won, bringing cumulative sales for the year to 22.3 billion won—a 31% increase from a year earlier. Cumulative sales for the non-absorbable antibiotic "Normix" and the prostate cancer treatment "Eligard" reached 15 billion won and 13.1 billion won, respectively.
Sales of hair loss treatments also expanded. "Hairgrow Tablet," a finasteride-based product, surpassed 2.5 million units in monthly sales last September. The company further broadened its portfolio this month with the launch of "Pangro Solution 5%," a topical minoxidil-based hair loss treatment.
In the new drug development segment, the FcRn antibody therapy "Batoclimab" received marketing authorization in China this month as a treatment for generalized myasthenia gravis. This marks the first time an in-house developed novel drug by HanAll BioPharma has secured overseas regulatory approval.
The next-generation FcRn antibody drug candidate "Imeropruvat (HL161ANS)" is currently undergoing clinical development across five indications in partnership with global licensee Immunovant. The targeted conditions include Graves' disease, refractory rheumatoid arthritis, myasthenia gravis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), and Sjögren's syndrome.
Topline results from the pivotal clinical trial in refractory rheumatoid arthritis are scheduled for release in the second half of this year. Subsequent clinical readouts are projected to follow sequentially for Graves' disease and myasthenia gravis in 2027, and for Sjögren's syndrome and CIDP in 2028.
“We are broadening the growth foundation of our pharmaceutical business by sustaining the momentum of our legacy flagship products while continuously introducing new offerings,” a HanAll BioPharma representative said. “With major clinical milestones slated for sequential release through 2027 and 2028 following this year, we expect to more concretely demonstrate the competitiveness and scalability of our core pipeline.”
