Daewoong Alliance and Dongtan City Hospital to jointly showcase an operational AI-driven hospital environment.

Exhibition divided into three specialized zones—smart ward, testing laboratory, and rehabilitation center—demonstrating real-time patient monitoring, AI diagnostics, and robotic therapy.

Aims to present a scalable model for digital healthcare validation and medical institution integration, anchored by a strategic partnership with Hwaseong City.

Daewoong Pharmaceutical (069620) announced on September 29 that it will join forces with Dongtan City Hospital to operate a joint pavilion at "AI EXPO MARS 2026," scheduled to run from November 3 to 5 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. The exhibition will feature 13 partner companies from the Daewoong Alliance, with the event hosted by Hwaseong City and organized by the Hwaseong Institute of Industry Promotion.

Spanning approximately 180 square meters, the co-curated pavilion is themed around "An AI Hospital That Is Reality, Not Fiction." The space is divided into three distinct zones: the "AI Smart Ward," "AI Smart Diagnostic Laboratory," and "AI Smart Rehabilitation Center." By merging Dongtan City Hospital’s clinical expertise with cutting-edge technologies from partner firms, the organizers plan to present a comprehensive, deployable smart hospital model for medical facilities.

In the smart ward zone, a demonstrator wearing a patient gown and wearable devices will simulate real-time vital sign monitoring by nursing staff. Key technologies on display include Seers’ "thynC" AI-based smart bed monitoring system, SkyLabs’ "CART ON" continuous blood pressure monitoring solution, and i-SENS' "CGM Live" continuous glucose monitoring solution. PuzzleAI’s "CL Note" will also demonstrate how AI converts medical staff's voice dictations into nursing records in real time.

The diagnostic laboratory zone will feature six distinct testing stations showcasing portable medical devices and AI diagnostic solutions. Highlights include Remedi’s "REMEX-Xcam6" portable X-ray imaging system, TR’s "The Spirokit" digital spirometer, and Exosystems’ "EXOMED-DeepSARC," an AI-powered diagnostic support solution for sarcopenia.

Additional exhibits include ArtiQ’s "OPTiNA∙WISKY," an AI screening solution for blindness and cardiovascular disease risks based on retinal imaging; Minds.AI’s "Minds.NAVI," a biomarker-based depression diagnostic test; and WaySens’ "WAYMED ENDO," an AI-powered real-time endoscopic image analysis solution. Visitors will be able to observe the diagnostic workflows through live equipment displays and monitoring screens.

The rehabilitation center zone focuses on physical rehabilitation and cognitive function management. Hurotics will demonstrate treadmill gait training using "H-medi," a wearable robot designed for walking rehabilitation. MyBenefit will operate an interactive program utilizing "VirtualMate," where AI analyzes visitors' exercise postures and provides real-time feedback based on their movements.

Furthermore, Emocog will showcase "Cogthera," a digital therapeutics device for mild cognitive impairment. Prescribed by physicians and delivered via a mobile app, the device provides customized cognitive training, introducing advanced digital methods for cognitive health management.

Dongtan City Hospital has previously spearheaded digital transformation in its clinical operations, notably partnering with Daewoong Pharmaceutical and Seers to deploy the "thynC" system across all hospital beds. The upcoming exhibition builds upon this frontline operational experience by integrating AI-driven diagnostics and digital rehabilitation technologies.

Kim Mi-young, administrative director of Dongtan City Hospital, stated, "The true value of introducing advanced technology in an AI smart hospital lies not in the tech itself, but in creating a clinical environment that enhances patient safety and allows medical staff to focus more intently on patient care." She added that the hospital aims to advance patient-centric services by combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology, thereby leading the digital transformation of regional medical institutions.

Beyond the hospital walls, the institution is collaborating with local government bodies on healthcare support initiatives for medically underserved populations. In September, Daewoong Pharmaceutical signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hwaseong City, Dongtan City Hospital, and the non-profit organization "Space and Sharing" to advance the "AI Digital Healthcare Project."

At the core of the agreement is the integration of public health infrastructure from local governments, clinical capabilities from medical providers, and digital healthcare technologies from corporations. The initiative aims to support health screenings and preventive counseling for vulnerable groups, seamlessly connecting citizens identified with health risks to appropriate medical services.

Moving forward, Daewoong Pharmaceutical plans to bridge in-hospital diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation with community-based prevention and wellness services. The vision is to establish an ecosystem where citizens can easily identify health risk factors in their daily lives, receive timely medical care, and maintain continuous health management post-treatment.

Chang-jae Lee, CEO of Daewoong Pharmaceutical, remarked, "This exhibition marks a milestone where Dongtan City Hospital and the Daewoong Alliance move beyond individual technologies to showcase an integrated digital healthcare model deployable in real-world medical settings. Through robust collaboration among local governments, healthcare providers, and technology firms, we will accumulate practical deployment cases and expand a comprehensive healthcare model spanning prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and aftercare."
