Previous work attracted 350,000 viewers and surpassed 10 billion won in revenue… Returning to theaters with a 10th-anniversary concert film
Concert celebrating 10 years since debut, which captivated 95,000 fans, to premiere exclusively at CGV on November 18
After filling stadiums, South Korean superstar Lim Young-woong is setting his sights on the silver screen. "Lim Young-woong │ I'm Hero The Stadium 2," a film capturing his 10th-anniversary concert, is scheduled for an exclusive release across CGV theaters nationwide on November 18. Attention is focused on whether the fervent loyalty of his fan club, "Hero Generation," which heated up the concert venues, will translate into box office success.
According to announcements from his agency, Fish Music, the upcoming film features live footage from Lim's concert held at the Goyang Stadium main auxiliary stadium from September 4 to 6. The three-day event brought together approximately 95,000 attendees. Ahead of the release, the official social media channels unveiled the main poster on the 26th.
At the heart of this new project is the journey shared between Lim—marking his 10th debut anniversary—and his fans. The film documents his second major stadium residency while bringing to the screen a stage that looks back on the past decade and promises new activities moving forward.
The visual spectacle extends beyond the sheer scale of the performance. It captures the vibrant atmosphere of a stadium concert complete with live band arrangements, massive stage installations, drone shows, and fireworks. It aims to offer a renewed wave of emotion for fans who attended the live shows, while providing those who missed out a chance to experience the performances.

Lim’s box office drawing power in theaters has already been proven with his previous work. "Lim Young-woong │ I'm Hero The Stadium," released in August 2024, surpassed 350,000 cumulative viewers and broke the 10 billion won revenue mark, setting a record for the highest grossing domestic concert live-action film at the time. The passion of the fandom that filled the stadiums naturally spilled over into ticket sales at the box office.
Repeated viewings also bolstered its commercial success. According to data compiled and reported by CJ CGV at the time, 17.3% of the audience watched the predecessor two or more times. This high repeat-viewing rate, driven by a deeply engaged fandom, serves as a key indicator for gauging the box office potential of the upcoming release.
This new project adds the symbolic weight of a 10th debut anniversary. Market observers are closely watching whether the proven fan demand will carry over to the new film, and if the "Hero Generation" can once again rewrite box office records in theaters.
