Participating in Europe's largest pharmaceutical and bio partnering event to be held in Cologne, Germany from the 9th to the 11th.
First disclosure regarding commercialization of UCN2 target DD18, which is in the spotlight as a next-generation obesity treatment
Exploring partnerships such as fibrosis treatment TLY012 and oral peptide platform ‘ORALINK’
D&D Pharmatech (347850), a bio company specializing in the development of GLP-1 new drugs, will participate in 'BIO-Europe 2026' held in Germany to introduce DD18, a next-generation obesity treatment, for the first time, and discuss global technology transfer and commercialization of major pipelines for DD01, a treatment for metabolic abnormality-related steatohepatitis (MASH).
D&D Pharmatech announced on the 5th that it will participate in Bio Europe 2026 to be held in Cologne, Germany from the 9th to the 11th (local time) and hold one-on-one partnering meetings with global pharmaceutical and bio companies.
Bio Europe is a large-scale partnering event in which more than 2,000 pharmaceutical and bio companies and investment institutions from over 60 countries around the world participate every year. This is an opportunity to explore various business cooperation opportunities such as technology transfer (L/O), joint research and development, and attracting strategic investments.
At this event, D&D Pharmatech plans to introduce DD18, a next-generation obesity treatment candidate targeting UCN2, and explore the possibility of global commercialization.
Recently, in the obesity treatment market, treatment approaches to compensate for the side effect of muscle loss, which is considered a major unmet need for existing GLP-1 drugs, are attracting attention. In particular, as interest in pipelines incorporating muscle preservation and gain mechanisms increases, D&D Pharmatech plans to introduce DD18's differentiation potential in terms of weight loss and muscle preservation to global pharmaceutical companies.
Discussions on the global technology transfer of the MASH treatment candidate zabopegdutide (DD01) will also continue.
D&D Pharmatech explained that the recently completed phase 2 clinical trial of Zabopegdutide demonstrated its competitive treatment potential, including improvement in liver fibrosis and rapid reduction of fatty liver disease. Based on this, we plan to further advance discussions with global pharmaceutical companies.
At 'The Liver Meeting 2026' hosted by the American Association for the Study of the Liver (AASLD), a meeting is scheduled with pharmaceutical companies that have previously been in discussions. The company plans to continue partnership discussions with pharmaceutical companies that have shown additional interest in Bio Europe.
In addition, TLY012, a treatment for fibrosis, and ORALINK, an independent oral peptide delivery platform, are also proposed as targets of global cooperation.
TLY012 is a fibrosis treatment candidate scheduled for clinical trials next year. D&D Pharmatech plans to introduce the pipeline to global pharmaceutical companies at this event and explore future commercialization possibilities.
ORALINK is an oral peptide delivery platform technology, and the company plans to use this event to publicize the scalability of the technology, discuss partnering using it, and discover opportunities for collaboration in follow-up pipelines targeting unmet medical needs.
An official from D&D Pharmatech said, "This Bio Europe 2026 will be the first opportunity to introduce not only the global partnering of Zabopegdutide, which is currently discussing technology transfer, but also the UCN2-targeted DD18, which minimizes muscle loss reduction, which the company is focusing on as a next-generation obesity treatment." He added, "In addition, the company's major technologies and pipelines, such as fibrosis treatment TLY012 and oral platform ORALINK, which are scheduled for clinical trials next year, will be introduced to the global market. “We will do our best to introduce it and lead to tangible business development results,” he said.
